Born and growing up in Melbourne, for thirty years Pip Ransome worked in community development, fifteen of them alongside the Yorta-Yorta people of northeast Victoria. In 1993 Pip was authorised to teach meditation and the Buddha-Dhamma by highly-esteemed Buddhist nun Venerable Ayya Khema. While maintaining her own practice, she has taught, quietly and with diligence, for over thirty years. She now enjoys a secluded life in a seaside village on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, while continuing to offer Dhamma..
‘Only Nibbana is permanent.
Only Nibbana is permanent.
And Nibbana is not’.
– Ven. Ayya Khema. 13/2/1992
The retreat, Meditation brings wisdom, will be based on Ayya Khema’s clear, concise and complete Dhamma teaching. The programme will be similar to her retreats, with time for calm meditation, contemplation for insight, Dhamma talks, Metta Sutta chanting and some opportunity for individual talks about meditation practice. A short handout will be available, and Pip’s books may be purchased on request.
Accommodations for this retreat will be single occupancy
