The Buddhist Society of Victoria (BSV) established in 1953 and known as the oldest Buddhist Teaching Centre in Australia.
Why Become a Member?
By becoming a member of the Buddhist Society of Victoria you will assist us to provide a vibrant teaching programme, support monastics and the spreading of the Buddha’s teachings.
You will also enjoy discounts to our meditation retreats, access to the library and automatically receive the BSV weekly newsletter by email.
Types Of Membership
Ordinary Full
Membership
$80/annually
- Ordinary Membership is for those prepared to commit themselves as Buddhists by taking refuge in the Triple Gem (Budhha, Dhamma & Sangha).
- Ordinary Members can vote at Annual or Special General Meetings.
- Application needs to be signed by either a monk or a nun as their Referee.
Associate
Membership
$80/annually
- Associate Membership is for those wishing to have the benefits of membership without making a commitment to the Triple Gem.
- Associate Members cannot vote at Annual or Special General Meetings.
- Application needs to be signed by a BSV Committee Member.
Concession
Membership
$25/annually
- Concession Membership is provided for members who are retired or otherwise not in a position to afford the full Ordinary Membership.
- Concession Members can vote at Annual or Special General Meetings.
- The application needs to signed accordingly by a Member of the Sangha or BSV Committee Member.
Lifetime
Membership
$800/lifetime
- Lifetime Membership is for those commit themselves as Buddhists by taking refuge in the Triple Gem with once off membership signup, no renewal required.
- Lifetime Members can vote at Annual or Special General Meetings.
- Application needs to be signed by a monk or a nun as their Referee.
