About Bhante Sukhacitto:
Born in Bad Nenndorf, Germany, he first encountered the teachings of the Buddha in 1986 at the age of 23 in Thailand, where he met the teacher Ajahn Buddhadasa.
He has been a fully ordained monk in the Theravada tradition since 1990. In 1993 he returned to the West and gained experience in various other Buddhist traditions. He lived for several years in monasteries of the Ajahn Chah tradition in England and Switzerland.
In 2005 he became acquainted with Insight Dialogue (according to Gregory Kramer), was trained as an Insight Dialogue teacher, and has been teaching it worldwide since 2010.
Inspired by the power of interpersonal meditation practice, he directed the Kalyana Mitta Vihara – House of Noble Friendship – from 2016 to the beginning of 2020.
Lunch Dana:
At 11 am, there is rice pindapāta and offering lunch dana to the monastics, followed by communal lunch. Please bring a plate of food to share with the monastics and lay community. Ensure all food is freshly cooked and prepared in advance. We kindly request those who wish to make an offering, to deliver their contribution to the Vihara kitchen upon arrival at the Centre (no later than 10:30am). This will greatly assist with lunch preparation.
Parking
There is a car park at the back of Buddhaloka Centre which can be accessed via Terminus lane. Please be PARTICULARLY mindful when parking on the streets around the Centre and ensure that you do not obstruct driveways in any way.
