You are encouraged to check the weather at Newbury before leaving home and bring suitable clothes (e.g. jacket, hat/beanie) including an umbrella. The weather at Newbury is usually 5 degrees cooler than in Melbourne. It is highly recommended to wear sturdy walking shoes as the terrain is uneven and can be muddy.  For those who suffer from hay fever or asthma, please take appropriate precautions as the pollen count is high during spring season in Newbury

Dana/Gift Offering for the Ceremony

A giver of food is a giver of strength.
A giver of clothes is a giver of beauty.
A giver of vehicle is a giver of ease.
A giver of lamp is a giver of vision.
And the one who is a giver of residence is a giver of everything.
But the one who teaches the Dhamma is a giver of the deathless.
The Buddha explains to a deva the true value of various kinds of gifts.
