Bhikkhu Sunyo was born in the Netherlands and discovered Buddhism and meditation near the end of high school. After completing university in 2013, he moved to Bodhinyana Monastery to become a monk—and has called it home ever since.
He’s known for his deep knowledge of Pali, which he’s been teaching at Bodhinyana for over six years. His first public talk at Dhammaloka in 2020 was warmly received, and he’s since offered several teachings, including co-leading the Early Buddhism Series with Ajahn Brahmali – Dependent Origination Workshops.
Bhikkhu Sunyo is deeply grateful to all who have supported his journey, especially those who’ve offered food and shelter along the way.
This silent residential retreat consists of walking and sitting meditation practice. There will also be a daily Dhamma Talk and Q&A session. The teachings are sequential during this retreat, so casual attendance is not possible. Vegetarian lunches will be provided.
