Time: 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

8.30 am – 10.00 am
– Welcome
– Taking the Refuges & Precepts – 5 & 8 precepts
– Chanting (as per BSV Sunday morning programme)
– Introductory Dhamma Talk
– Guided meditation
– Q & A
– Guideline for walking meditation

10:00 am – 11 am
– Individual practice : walking & sitting meditation, and contemplation

11:00 am – Lunch
For those taking 8 precepts, please eat before midday

12 – 12.15 pm
– Individual practice : walking & sitting meditation, and contemplation

12.15 – 1.30 pm
– Dhamma Talk
– Guided meditation
– Q & A

1.30 – 2.00 pm
– Individual practice : walking & sitting meditation, and contemplation

2.00 – 3.00 pm
– Group sitting meditation
and/or
– 10 minute individual interviews on the front porch of the Sangha House (facing Darling
Road). If it is rainy, in the Sangha House dining area next door.
Please write your name on the Interview Schedule sheet on the table outside the meditation
hall

3.00 – 3.30 pm
– Individual practice : walking & sitting meditation, and contemplation

3.30 – 4.30 pm
– Discussion / Q & A
– Sharing of Merits
– Conclusion

Noble Silence
This will be a silent retreat, in order to support the meditation & contemplation. So please
speak only when necessary.
Mobile Phones
Participants are kindly requested to put away their phones.
Questions
Please write down your questions as they occur to you during the day and put them in the box
outside the meditation hall. They will be answered during the last session for the day.

Breaks:
Lunch
Participants need to bring their own lunch. Tea/coffee will be provided.
Tea Breaks
Please take individual tea breaks when you need them, so as to minimise congregating &
talking.
