BSV 2025 Vesak Celebration at Buddhaloka Centre

- 9:00 am – Event Opens : BSV President’s Welcome Message
- 9.05 am – Taking of the Three Refuges, Precepts and Chanting
- 9.20 am – Dhamma Talk: “The Buddha’s Awakening: A Message of Hope for the World” by Ajahn Nissarano
- 10.00 am – Offering of gifts to the Sangha & Blessing Chants : Mangala Sutta, Ratana Sutta (6 verses) & Metta Sutta
- 10.25 am – Rice Pindapata & Offering of Food to Monastics
- 10.55am – Dedication of Merit & Blessing Chanting
- 11.00 am – Communal lunch
- 12:15 pm – Dessert Dansala (offering) by BSV Dhamma School parents
- 12.30 pm – Dhamma School Lantern Competition
- 1.00 pm – Water blessing by Monastics
- 1.15 pm – Dhamma Talk for Dhamma School, including taking of the Three Refuges and Precepts
- 2.00 pm – End of Event
Lunch Dana:
At 10.25 am, there is rice pindapāta and offering lunch dana to the monastics, followed by communal lunch. Please bring a plate of food to share with the monastics and lay community. Ensure all food is freshly cooked and prepared in advance. We kindly request those who wish to make an offering, to deliver their contribution to the Vihara kitchen upon arrival at the Centre (no later than 10:00am). This will greatly assist with lunch preparation.
Parking
The Buddhaloka Centre carpark will be closed on the day of the event, so please be PARTICULARLY mindful when parking on the streets around the Centre and ensure that you do not obstruct driveways in any way.
