Welcome to the Buddhist Society of Victoria

The Buddhist Society of Victoria (BSV) is a centre for the learning and practice of Buddhism in Victoria, Australia. The BSV conducts regular meditation classes and retreats, and facilitates talks on Buddhist teachings given by monks and nuns and respected lay teachers.  All activities are conducted in English and are free of charge.

Upcoming events / retreats at the Buddhaloka Centre

Sutta discussions @ the Library
Sutta discussions will be held in the Library from 4pm- 5.30pm on the following Sundays:
1st and 15th August
5th and 19th September
3rd October
These discussion will be led by Ajahn Ariyasilo.

BSV resident Rains Retreat Bhikkhu
The BSV committee is delighted to report that Ajahn Ariyasilo will stay for the 2010 Vassa.

 Weekly program


Sunday

 


8.30- 9.30 am:    Silent meditation
9.30- 10.30 am:  Dhamma talk by Ajahn Ariyasilo followed by communal lunch

Dhamma School for children is held from 9.30 - 10.30 am during school term


Tuesday


7.30 - 9.00 pm: Meditation for beginners and experienced meditators with Ajahn Ariyasilo


Thursday


7.30 - 9.00pm: Meditation for beginners and experienced meditators with Sayadaw U Pandita
