The 2024 Annual General Meeting of The Buddhist Society of Victoria Inc. will be held at the Buddhaloka Centre, 71 Darling Road, East Malvern VIC 3145. 

Date & Time: Sunday, 28th April 2024 at 2:00 pm

Eligibility to vote: Honorary Members & Ordinary Financial Members (including Lifetime Members) of not less than two (2) years are entitled to vote. 

In the past many Members have chosen to renew their Membership subscriptions on the day of the AGM.  In order to minimise delays, everyone is encouraged to ensure their membership up-to-date through the BSV’s online Membership Self-Service Portal. If you need assistance, please contact the Membership Officer at membership@bsv.net.au who can help you with ensuring your membership is up to date. Please be aware that previous payment methods of PayPal, Cheque and EFT are no longer accepted as valid means for paying your membership.

Vote Allocation for Eligible Members: 
Every Honorary Member                            one (1) vote
Every Lifetime Member                              one (1) vote
Every Ordinary Member                             one (1) vote

AGM – Agenda & Motions to be put to the Membership to Vote
The meeting Agenda and Motions (if any) to be voted on by the Membership will be emailed to you for review.

Members wishing to submit any motions for consideration at the AGM in accordance with the Constitution Clause 17 (xxiii) (n), are requested to give prior notice in writing to the Secretary, of not less than seven (7) days prior to the date of meeting (i.e. by Saturday 20th April 2024, 5pm).  

Nominations for the Office Bearers / Committee Members
All positions are deemed vacant and eligible members are invited to nominate. In accordance with the Constitution, only Financial Members Eligible to Vote may stand for election to the Committee or as Office Bearers of the Society or nominate or second a candidate for the purposes of such election. 

Nominations must be completed on the BSV Nomination Form and submitted and received by the Honorary Secretary by Saturday 13th April 2024, 5 pm.    

Proxy Appointments:
A member entitled to vote may appoint another member via the Proxy Form provided as a Proxy to vote at the AGM in accordance with their instructions.
Completed Proxy Voting Instruction forms are to be submitted and received by the Honorary Secretary not less than two (2) days prior to the AGM i.e. by Thursday 25th April 2024, 5 pm.
