BSV Vesak Celebrations 2024 with Ajahn Brahm
The BSV committee invites you to celebrate Vesak Day with us to commemorate the Buddha’s Birth, Enlightenment, and Final Passing (Parinibbana). This year’s event will be held at the Buddhaloka Centre Malvern (BCM).

Location: 71 Darling Rd, Malvern East
Time: 11:30 am – 4.00 pm (AEST)
We will have our regular Sunday morning chanting starting at 11.30am followed by a Dhamma Talk by Ajahn Brahm, ending with a Question & Answer session with Ajahn.
As you are aware, BCM has limited space and as we are expecting a significantly larger than our normal Sunday gathering, we have decided not to have the Sunday dana offering and communal lunch for this event. The logistics and traffic from the morning dana drop-offs will create traffic congestion and disruption along Darling Road and the neighborhood. This will be unmanageable and beyond our control.
Given the event on Sunday will only start at 11.30 am, there will be no dana offering and communal lunch. We kindly request that you do not bring any food dana to offer to the monastics on the day. However, you are most welcome to offer non-food requisites to the monastics. Most of the requisites such as robes and smaller items can be purchased onsite on the day. The proceeds will help the BSV to operate the Centre to offer teachings; and provide support to the monastic community of monks and nuns.

*Please note the sessions between 2 – 3.15 pm are primarily for Dhamma School students, parents, Teens Group and Cityzen. As such, they will be given priority seating in the Meditation Hall. Thank you for understanding.
Car Parking: The car park at the back of BCM will be closed on the day. There is limited street parking available along Darling Road. However, there is ample alternative street parking area along and around Waverley Road near Darling Road.
Please be PARTICULARLY mindful when parking on the streets around the Centre and ensure that you do not obstruct driveways in any way.
