Robe Offering Ceremony 2020
01/11/2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am UTC+10
When we think of Kathina, we think of wishing trees, robes, and being with the sangha! The Zoom ceremony aims to recapture the feeling of community, warmth, generosity and faith that we associate with the real-life Kathina ceremony. As part of the program, Zoom participants will be guided through the process of offering their requisites “virtually” by presenting the token/receipt/giftcard of their donation in an individual link-up with senior monastics.
Date: Sunday, 1 November 2020
Time: 09:00 – 10:35 am (AEDT)

Dana/Gift Offering for the Ceremony
A giver of clothes is a giver of beauty.
A giver of vehicle is a giver of ease.
A giver of lamp is a giver of vision.
And the one who is a giver of residence is a giver of everything.
But the one who teaches the Dhamma is a giver of the deathless.
The Buddha explains to a deva the true value of various kinds of gifts.
