Waitlist now open. \n\n\n\n\n			\n				Register\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Teacher:\nAjahn Nissarano was born in 1952 in Perth\, Western Australia. In 1997\, he was ordained by Ajahn Brahm as a novice monk and a year later took full ordination. This year will be his 29th Rain’s Retreat\, Vassa. He lived in Sri Lanka from 2006 to 2019\, for almost 14 years. During that period he spent 8 years living in a cave on the side of a beautiful mountain\, surrounded by forest and going for alms round to the village below. It was an idyllic experience\, though not without its challenges\, that he will always treasure. He returned to Australia regularly to teach\, primarily at the Buddhist Society of Victoria. In January 2021 with the blessing of Ajahn Brahm\, he became the resident Senior Monk at Newbury Buddhist Monastery\, about 90 km from Melbourne\, which has now become his base \n\n\n\nAbout the Retreat:\nTitle: Thinking: a Blessing or a Curse? : Relating to Thinking in Our Meditation and Daily LifeThis retreat will use key teachings by the Buddha (MN\, 18\, 19 & 20) to understand the conditioned process which is driving thinking and how we can deal with it in meditation and life. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRoom Bond Donation:\nAccommodations for this retreat will be single occupancy \n\nBSV: $250\nNon-Members: $330\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue and Times:\nSanctuary of Stillness (SOS) Meditation Retreat Centre\, 107 Beaches Lane\, Newbury\, AUSTRALIA \n\nParticipants can arrive at SOS to check in from 5:15pm on Fri 06 Mar.\nA light supper will be offered at 6:30pm.\nAn introduction and welcome to the retreat will take place at 7:15pm.\nRetreat concludes at 3pm on Mon 09 Mar.

DESCRIPTION:Weekly Dhamma Talk. Teaching will be given by Ajahn Sādaro\nTime: 9.30 am – 11.00 am\nVenue: BSV Buddhaloka Centre\n71 Darling Road\, Malvern East VIC 3145 \nLunch Dana:\nAt 11 am\, there is rice pindapāta and offering lunch dana to the monastics\, followed by communal lunch.  Please bring a plate of food to share with the monastics and lay community. Ensure all food is freshly cooked and prepared in advance. We kindly request those who wish to make an offering\, to deliver their contribution to the Vihara kitchen upon arrival at the Centre (no later than 10:30am). This will greatly assist with lunch preparation. \nParking\nThere is a car park at the back of Buddhaloka Centre which can be accessed via Terminus lane. Please be PARTICULARLY mindful when parking on the streets around the Centre to ensure that you do not obstruct driveways in any way. \n﻿﻿﻿﻿﻿ \n
