SUMMARY:Silent Sutta Meditation Retreat with Ajahn Brahmali
DESCRIPTION:Silent Sutta Meditation Retreat with Ajahn Brahmali\nJoin us for this special non-residential meditation retreat taught by senior Buddhist monastic Ajahn Brahmali \nAjahn Brahmali is a senior monk of Norwegian origin who has lived at Bodhinyana Monastery in Western Australia since 1994. He ordained as a Bhikkhu with Ajahn Brahm as his preceptor in 1996. His clear and thoughtful talks make the teachings of the Buddha accessible to all. \nThis silent retreat consists of teaching from the Suttas and silent walking and sitting meditation practice. The Sutta teachings will be of a practical nature and will relate to meditation practice. This is a non-residential retreat.  Attendance is from 8am – 7.30 pm each day\, except April 17th when the retreat will end at 5 pm.  Please note on 9th April\, the start time at 6.30 pm is to cover the retreat introduction and familiarisation with COVID safe practices at the venue.  The retreat cost includes daily simple vegetarian lunches. \nDue to the current COVID situation which restricts the number of visitors in the Buddhaloka Centre\, this year’s retreat will be offered for 8 days from the 9th to the 17th of April.  Priority will be given to current members of the BSV. \nIf we do not reach capacity for full 8 day participants\, we may be able to accommodate people to attend the first 3 days of the retreat.  Please register your interest to attend for the first 3 days here (http://www.trybooking.com/BPGUG). Current BSV members will be given priority. \nIf you are not a member and have a query\, please email retreats@bsv.net.au \nEight-day retreat: Current BSV Member – $250; Non-member – $300 \nRetreat attendance requires registration and places are limited. BSV members are given priority. It is not possible to attend this retreat on a casual basis. \nRegister for this event: https://www.trybooking.com/BPGUG \nInquiries: retreats@bsv.net.au
