DESCRIPTION:A warm invitation to Welcome 2026 at the BSV Buddhaloka Centre\nThe theme for this year is “Growing Together in 2026.” Of course\, it’s growing together as we walk the Noble Eightfold Path together with Spiritual Friends (Kalyānamittas). It creates a sense of community\, which can give us support and strength as we practice. Just like a tree that grows on its own can be more easily blown over by the wind and rain than a tree that is part of a forest\, which has much more support and protection. It is also important how we walk the Path together. We need to embrace the four Divine Abidings (Brahmavihāras) – Friendliness (Mettā)\, Caring (Karunā)\, Joy for other’s good qualities (Muditā)\, and Equanimity (Upekkha). \nMay we walk the Path joyfully together into 2026! \nDate: Wednesday\, 31st December 2025\nVenue: BSV Buddhaloka Centre\, 71 Darling Road\, Malvern East \nThose who wish to bring offerings of lights (tealights only)\, flowers and incense may offer these at the Buddha statue in the front garden before the program begins. DESCRIPTION:Special Dhamma Talk by Venerable Santacitto Thero\nDate: Friday 30th January 2026\nTime: 7.30 – 9.00pm\nVenue: BSV Buddhaloka Centre\n71 Darling Road\, Malvern East VIC 3145 \nAll are very welcome.  Registration not required. \nAbout the teacher:\nBhikkhu Santacitto\, originally from Banjarnegara\, Central Java\, is a Theravada Buddhist monk under the Saṅgha Theravāda Indonesia. He pursued his studies in Pali and Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya\, Sri Lanka\, completing his PhD in 2013. From 2009 to 2012\, he served as a guest lecturer for international students at the same university. \nFrom 2015 to 2019\, he was the Head of the Buddhist Religious Education Program at Kertarajasa Buddhist College (STAB) Batu. Since 2019\, he has been serving as the Chairperson of STAB Kertarajasa. \nHe is active in academics and monastic duties\, including teaching young monks under the Sangha Theravada Indonesia. He also frequently leads meditation retreats across Indonesia for both Buddhists and non-Buddhists. \nParking\nThere is a car park at the back of Buddhaloka Centre which can be accessed via Terminus lane.
