DESCRIPTION:Weekly Dhamma Talk. Teaching will be given by Venerable Damita\nTime: 9.30 am – 11.00 am\nVenue: BSV Buddhaloka Centre\n71 Darling Road\, Malvern East VIC 3145 \nLunch Dana:\nAt 11 am\, there is rice pindapāta and offering lunch dana to the monastics\, followed by communal lunch. Please bring a plate of food to share with the monastics and lay community. Ensure all food is freshly cooked and prepared in advance. We kindly request those who wish to make an offering\, to deliver their contribution to the Vihara kitchen upon arrival at the Centre (no later than 10:30am). This will greatly assist with lunch preparation. \nAbout the Teacher\nVenerable Damita is a Sri Lankan Buddhist monk and the abbot of Pothgulagala Forest Monastery in Kegalle\, Sri Lanka. He ordained as a novice in 2007 and received higher ordination in 2008 under the guidance of the late Ven. Katukurunde Nyanananda Mahathera. He further trained in meditation under Ven. Ajahn Brahmavamso in Australia and subsequently with other renowned meditation masters in Thailand. Committed to sharing the Buddhist teachings\, Venerable Damita serves as an advisor to the Ajahn Brahm Society Sri Lanka\, teaches at meditation retreats\, and translates for Ven. Ajahn Brahm and Ven. Ajahn Brahmali during their teachings in Sri Lanka. \nParking\nThere is a car park at the back of Buddhaloka Centre which can be accessed via Terminus lane. Please be PARTICULARLY mindful when parking on the streets around the Centre and ensure that you do not obstruct driveways in any way. \n \n
