DESCRIPTION:Open to BSV Members & Non-Members\n(Current State: Open)\n\n\n\n			\n				Register\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Teacher:\n\n\nBhikkhu Sunyo was born in the Netherlands and discovered Buddhism and meditation near the end of high school. After completing university in 2013\, he moved to Bodhinyana Monastery to become a monk—and has called it home ever since. \nHe’s known for his deep knowledge of Pali\, which he’s been teaching at Bodhinyana for over six years. His first public talk at Dhammaloka in 2020 was warmly received\, and he’s since offered several teachings\, including co-leading the Early Buddhism Series with Ajahn Brahmali – Dependent Origination Workshops. \nBhikkhu Sunyo is deeply grateful to all who have supported his journey\, especially those who’ve offered food and shelter along the way. \nAbout the Retreat:\nThis silent residential retreat consists of walking and sitting meditation practice. There will also be a daily Dhamma Talk and Q&A session. The teachings are sequential during this retreat\, so casual attendance is not possible. DESCRIPTION:Special Dhamma Talk by The Most Ven Ariyananda Maha Thero\nDate: Friday 31st October 2025\nTime: 7.30 pm – 9.00 pm\nVenue: BSV Buddhaloka Centre\n71 Darling Road\, Malvern East VIC 3145 \nAll are very welcome.  Registration not required. \nAbout The Teacher\nThe Most Ven Ariyananda Maha Thero is the present Abbot of Na Uyana Forest Monastery\, where he is Chief Meditation Teacher\, Administrator and Chief Advisor. After his higher ordination in 1993\, he spent a year in Myanmar\, where he mastered the Pa-Auk meditation method.\n \nIn 1997 he came to Na Uyana Monastery along with 10 other monks to initiate a project to build a Meditation Centre. The Monastery is now the largest monastery in the Galduwa tradition and is also one of the main international monasteries in Sri Lanka. \nThe Most Ven Ariyananda Maha Thero is a committed teacher\, who focuses on encouraging his students\, particularly monks and nuns\, in virtue\, concentration and wisdom. He also dedicates his time and effort travelling overseas to make accessible the core teachings of Buddhism for international practitioners. \nParking\nThere is a car park at the back of Buddhaloka Centre which can be accessed via Terminus lane. Please be PARTICULARLY mindful when parking on the streets around the Centre to ensure that you do not obstruct driveways in any way. \n﻿﻿ \n
