SUMMARY:Dhamma Talk on the "Weariness of Samsara" | Ven Kassapa
DESCRIPTION:Venerable Maha Brithannye Kassapa is an eminent Buddhist monk of international renown currently based in West London. He was born in Kensington in the early 1960’s to English parents. Having spent his early years in Barnes he turned to Buddhism at the tender age of 13 and was ordained as a novice monk a year later in 1977 at the London Buddhist Vihara in Chiswick.\nSamanera Kassapa left for Sri Lanka days after the ordination. He received his Higher Ordination in his twentieth year from his preceptor\, an erudite monk belonging to the strictest forest tradition in Sri Lanka. Venerable Kassapa went on to lead an austere and secluded life in Sri Lanka\, over a period of 21 years\, residing in ancient forest temples and rock shelters throughout the island. \nTime: 7.30 – 9 pm\nVenue: BSV Buddhaloka Centre\n71 Darling Road\, Malvern East VIC 3145. \nDoors open at 7:00pm with the session commencing at 7:30pm until 8:30pm and will be followed by Q&A. You can watch the live broadcast on YouTube if you are unable to attend the session in person. \nAll are welcome. \nParking\nThere is a car park at the back of Buddhaloka Centre which can be accessed via Terminus lane. Please be PARTICULARLY mindful when parking on the streets around the Centre and ensure that you do not obstruct driveways in any way. \n
